If you are going to keep anything in the basement (it's not all junk), then your "keepers" must be clearly defined and separated from the junk we are to haul. We would have to charge a greater price if we are to help sort through your "stuff" as we load.
To prepare your junk for removal, you can use either of the following methods;
(BEST) Have only your junk in the basement. Give us the ok, and we will empty the basement completely, even sweeping before we leave.
(NEXT BEST) Move ALL your "keepers" to one side / end / area of the basement, and cover with sheets, blankets, or tarps. (Please do not put them in the way of the door. We do not want to disturb your keepers at all.) We will haul all that is not inside the "keeper" zone, sweeping the area when finished.
